Day 325

Scripture:

Now I say this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows generously will also reap generously. Each one must do just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace overflow to you, so that, always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.

– 2 Corinthians 9:6-8

What is the condition of your heart when it comes to giving? Is your hand open or closed?
Are you a channel or reservoir of God’s blessing? Remember when you give, you are giving to the Lord, not to the church, not to a person. Give generously, give freely because our motive for giving is love for God. He will honor what you place before Him.

Prayer: Father, forgive us for not trusting You to provide for us. Forgive us when we withhold from You out of fear or selfishness. Jesus, thank You for honoring and multiplying our giving.

Petition: For us to be generous with God’s provision and trust that He will provide for all that we need and more.
