The Healing of The Nations
This sermon, delivered during a celebratory Sunday service, reflects on the themes of resurrection, renewal, and mission. It centers on the biblical vision from Revelation of the New Jerusalem—a city filled with God’s presence, healing, and light—and connects that hope to the real-life ministry work being done in Port Houston, a community in need and yet still a resilient community even through its adversities. We, as the church, are urged to live Easter now by being like the tree of life: rooted in the world, bearing fruit, and offering healing. Small acts—like kindness, tutoring, or prayer—are powerful leaves for the healing of the nations
