We’re excited about what’s going on

Scripture of the Week:
“Wholesome speech is a tree of life, but dishonest talk breaks the spirit.” Proverbs 15:4

Hello,

Yesterday, I was having lunch with some church members, and we stopped to pray before eating. The waitress was standing right there, and she saw that we were beginning to bow our heads. She said, “Can I join you?” We of course included her, everyone holding hands, and said a blessing for her in our prayer. After the prayer, she talked about how in the devotional she’s reading right now she’s learning about “speaking life” over people, and she’s trying to figure out the right way to begin to do that with her kids. It was such a lovely moment of the body of Christ, spontaneously discovering one another. I believe we ministered to her, and she definitely ministered to us. How can we speak life this week?

I’m happy to announce another exciting development. You may remember from the State of the Church meeting that one of our wish list ideas was to turn the Connection Point room near The Park into a coffee shop. The purpose is not only to use the proceeds to support various ministries and missions of the church, but also to provide a gathering space for people to meet, connect, talk and pray with one another. We think this could become an engine of connection in our church. We have received our first lead gift towards this project, a gift of $15,000. It’s so exciting to see what God is up to in our church!

We’ve got a lot going on this Sunday! It’ll be Commitment Sunday, and each of us will have the opportunity to commit our worship, spiritual growth, service, and giving to the Lord for 2026 as a way to put God first. I hope you’ll prayerfully consider participating in that act of wors

Grace and Peace,
