How many times have you, an ordinary church member sat in a church committee meeting or a Sunday School class or even a planning session for a Mission Team and witnessed a “Brilliant”proposal or idea to “Enlighten” our dark world with the love, grace and mercy of Jesus presented and the first response from the group is, “Are you Crazy???? There is NO WAY THAT WILL WORK!!” Even though this “Glorious, Life-Giving” conversation is taking place, most of the time our first human response is with “FEAR”!

The shepherds were gathered together doing their regular nightly tending of their flock when the Lord’s messenger stood before “Them”. They were a group – a team, when the Lord’s angel “Stood” before them…..not needing to say anything! This “Light” was so overwhelming and all-consuming; they were paralyzed! The Lord’s Very Presence Was and Is so Powerful and Gorious, No Words Can EVER Express our Reverence, Praise and Worship!

Prayer: LORD, GOD, may we join with YOU to continue fearlessly shining Your Holy Presence in the hurting world around us this Advent season and beyond. Amen.
