Seeking happiness, King Solomon explored everything under the sun. He already had power, riches, and prestige, yet he wasn’t content. In the end, after all his searching, Solomon found his answer.
What is it that you think will bring you happiness and make you whole? Surrender these things to God. Confess your sin and recommit yourself to Him and His ways.
Prayer: Lord, remind me that joy and fulfillment can only be found in You. Help me stop chasing after temporal things and focus on You and Your commands.
Petition: For us to recommit ourselves to God’s plan for fulfillment and stop making our own ways in our lives and in our church. For us to commit to the work it takes to know and understand God’s desires and to act upon them.
