As we begin our year of prayer as a church, let’s come to the Lord with a humble heart, ready to receive what He has for us. Today, ask God to humble you and to give you new eyes to see yourself and others. Ask Him to humble our corporate heart so we are ready to be changed and to hear from our Father.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for bringing us together to pray in unity of heart and practice for the next 365 days. Please give me a humble and teachable spirit so that I may hear Your voice. Open my eyes and ears so I am more sensitive to Your Holy Spirit living in me. Help me recognize where I am prideful and give me a desire for repentance. As a church, please give us a humble and discerning heart, so that we may see where You are taking us.
