The daily emails from our church prayer team the last year have been a tremendous blessing. Receiving the notification each morning through the church’s app has been a reminder that I am not alone. There have been more mornings than I care to admit that I have not immediately opened the email or the app to read the devotional or pray the prayer. But I have been comforted by the knowledge that some of my brothers and sisters in Christ at First Methodist are praying for the things that matter. I know the Holy Spirit has led this effort as I have been continually astonished at the timeliness of most of the messages. They have spoken to me with the right word at the right time. When they have not, I know I need to redouble my efforts to connect with the heart of God. – Jeff Aldis
