Day 337

Scripture: The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps with joy and with my song I praise him.

– Psalm 29:7

Several months ago, Carolyn Harris and her team helped me plan a Senior Day for our older adults. As we began to pray and plan, we realized that due to money issues, we would have to find a way to fund the lunch and special gifts for the game winners. We turned the whole project over to God and prayed that He would help us find a way. And He did! Out of the blue, Sunday School classes and individual members who heard of our plans began to send in money to help cover the costs. Large checks, and small donations of cash kept coming in each day.

Senior Day came and the Fellowship Hall was flooded with joy! When it was time to pay the bills, guess what happened? There was just enough—almost down to the penny. Isn’t that just like our God? He finds a way when there seems to be no way. We are so grateful that we are singing the words from the old hymn- “this is my story, this is my song.. praising my Savior all the day long.” – Ann Spears
