Scripture:
Do any of the worthless idols of the nations bring rain? Do the skies themselves send down showers? No, it is you, LORD our God. Therefore, our hope is in you, for you are the one who does all this.

It is tempting to create idols of people or money as the source of the good things in our lives, but all good things originate from God. Take some time to thank Him for the good things that have come to you. Be cautious of trusting in them, but hold them loosely, hoping in God alone.
Prayer: Lord, I praise you for providing the good things in my life (name them). Help me to remember that You are the source of all good things.
Petition: That people fortunate enough to live in developed countries will not lose sight of God and remain thankful for all that He has given. That we will hold His gifts with open hands, ready to share with those in need.
