Youth Stock Campaign
The focus for our 2024 youth stock campaign is “building a firm foundation”. Camps, retreats, and mission trips provide a firm foundation for students (and adults) to grow in their discipleship, through spiritual formation, service and fellowship. Our campaign will be a bit different than in years past. Instead of students “selling” stock certificates, we will have stock options available in predetermined amounts on envelopes that can be picked up outside of our worship areas. There will be a limited number of envelopes available, 116 total, (think IPO). All proceeds from this campaign benefit all students at First Methodist Houston and allow them to participate in camps, retreats, mission trips and other spiritual growth opportunities.
Each envelope is labeled with an amount of “stock option” donation requested. If you know that you will be investing more than the amount on the envelope, please consider taking a higher value envelope so that others who may be able to participate as well. If every envelope is returned with only the amount on the outside, we will raise almost $15,000. That would be enough to send 50 students and adults to serve for a week this summer on a mission trip.
The stock campaign will begin on April 7th. Please return your envelope with the amount listed on the outside (or more) by April 30th. Envelopes can be placed in the offering plate, or returned to the church finance office.
