Do you know someone in our congregation who is carrying a heavy load? What about a family member or a neighbor? Is he/she bent over with a burden? The Lord wants to use us to help lighten the loads of others, and there are several ways we can be HIS hands and feet. Why not offer to bring a meal to the person or family, call up and just be a listener, offer to pray with them, refer them to a Christian counselor, help with household projects or send a colorful note? Your act of kindness can make a huge difference to someone in distress and please God’s heart.
Prayer: Father, please put on my mind a person who needs me right now. Help me make the burden they are carrying a little lighter. Thank You for allowing me to partner with You. It is an honor to serve You.
Petition: For members of our congregation who are dealing with heavy burdens. That we will be compassionate and rally around them to show them the love of Christ.
