Scripture:
Seek the Lord and His strength. Seek His face continually.
– I Chronicles 16:11
Seeking the Lord requires hard mental work and if we give up too early, we will only know about God, without ever connecting to Him. Try quieting your mind and heart before Him. Take some deep breaths and sit in silence for as long as it takes. If your mind is busy with thoughts, it may require more time and continuing to bring your thoughts back to Him. God is patient. Seek Him, seek His strength, seek His face. He wants to reveal Himself to you.
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for Your continual presence. Here I am before You. I want to know You. Will you speak to my heart and mind and calm me in Your presence?
Petition: That we will all commit to the work that it takes to know God. That we will seek Him and His strength and His face. That God will reveal Himself to us as we seek Him together.
