NATURE'S MISSION
"For since the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature - have clearly been seen, being understood from what has been made so that we are without excuse." Romans 1:20
WHAT IS NATURE'S MISSION?
Nature's Mission strives to Lead people to God through Nature. Using a wide variety of fun outdoor recreational activities, we reach men, women, youth and children throughout our community. During these excursions we emphasize the many miracles God has created in our natural world and how these miracles apply in our everyday walk with God.
If you would like to participate or help in this fun and meaningful ministry please contact Gary Zoch at 281-841-9606 or garyzoch@sbcglobal.net (we would love to add your name to our e-mail distribution).

Typical activities include: fishing, hiking, kayaking, bird watching, outdoor photography and rock climbing.
HOUSTON AS A NATURE VENUE
The city of Houston is not well known for nature. Houston has plenty of nature opportunities, if you just take some effort to search out the best of what this area has to offer. The city has plenty to offer with its many parks, but the best natural destinations are within an hour or two drive. Visit God's wonderful creation, it's mysteries surround us.

McKASKLE RETREAT CENTER
First Methodist Houston has been blessed with over 60 acres of beautiful property; located just 45 minutes from downtown Houston, near Hockley, Texas. This center is divided by Spring Creek, and has old oaks, pine trees, and pasture land. Improvements on the property include a large covered pavilion with picnic tables and restroom facilities.
McKaskle is the perfect spot to enjoy a picnic, wet a line, take a hike, or let the dog run. The pond has a nice shaded pavilion/pier with perch, bass and catfish (please practice “catch and release”). Groups are welcomed at the center and it has become a popular spot for local scout troops. To reserve a date, please contact Tom Gaden at: tgaden@fmhouston.com or 713-458-4705.
DIRECTIONS: Take 290 West towards Hockley, Texas (approximately 15 minutes past Beltway 8). Exit Kickapoo Road, turn right on Kickapoo. The McKaskle Retreat Center will be on your left just past Spring Creek (approximately 5 miles).
