ADULT CHOIR
The ADULT CHOIR plays an integral part in the worship experience at the Downtown Campus. They lead the congregation in two traditional morning worship services each week. The choir sings a variety of sacred music incorporating classics, traditional anthems, hymn arrangements and spirituals. They also present several concerts annually, including seasonal services during Advent, Christmas, and Lent, accompanied by full orchestra. A Broadway Revue and/or Patriotic Concert is frequently planned during the summer months. Open to all adult singers, the choir family is a close fellowship for those who love to sing.

It is not necessary to have a trained voice to be a member of our Sanctuary Choir. The requirements are a voice that blends with others, some choral experience, the ability to read music, and a respect for the responsibilities of membership. Rehearsals are held in the Choir Room (downstairs from the Sanctuary) on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. Child care is available. New singers are always welcome!

Please call Ruth Brown for interview information at: rbrown@fmhouston.com or 832-668-1824..

ADULT BELLS
The Sanctuary Ringers are a very active handbell group that plays special music for several services throughout the year. The group also presents holiday music and a performs collaborative concert with ringers from the Rejoice Ringers and ringers from the Westchase Campus. The Sanctuary Ringers ring anywhere from 3 to 5 octaves and have a 6th octave for special pieces. The 6 octave set of English handbells and 5 octaves of chimes represent one of the larger collections of bells in the area.

Directed by Dr. Terry Morris, this instrumental group includes many trained musicians but there is always the opportunity to learn to play. All you need is a heart centered on worship, a desire to work and learn, and the ability to attend rehearsals and play at both morning services when called upon. The ability to read rhythm and perform the physical acts of ringing and malloting are desirable as well. Substitute ringers are regularly utilized in rehearsals and presentations. Rehearsals are from 6 to 6:50 p.m. every Wednesday between Labor Day and Christmas Eve in the fall and winter; and we return after New Year's Day and ring until the Sunday before Memorial Day.

Please contact Dr. Morris at tmbaritone@sbcglobal.net for more information. .

YOUTH CHOIR
The Youth Choir is a diverse group of singers that meet once a week for about an hour. This group is for 6th-12th graders who like to sing! No training? No problem! If you like to sing, we will teach you! No formal training necessary!! We are a close group that travels together, worships together and has fun together! Our rehearsals are on Sundays from 1 - 1:45 p.m. at the Westchase Campus. If you attend the downtown services, there is a shuttle that leaves right after the 11 a.m. service and brings you back to the church after youth group,The LINK!, meets. This amazing choir traveled to Baylor University the past 3 years and participated in the Baylor Youth Cue Festival! In June of 2009, the Youth Choir will be traveling to Washington D.C. to attend the Nation's Capitol Youth Cue Festival for 5 nights! Join us and sing praises to God, meet new people and make friends for life!
