“Every Man Shares in Evangelism, Mission, and Spiritual Life”
Purpose: United Methodist Men shall be a creative, supportive fellowship of men who seek to know Jesus Christ, to grow spiritually and to seek daily his will. Our primary purpose is to declare the centrality of Christ in the lives of men and in all their relationships.
The General Commission of United Methodist Men is located in Nashville, Tennessee. You may learn more by vewing their webpages at: www.gcumm.org, or their webpages at the Texas Conference at: www.tcumm.org. Our local chapter began in January 2000. It is chartered and fully structured with by-laws and rules, that are in full harmony with the discipline of the United Methodist Church. A slate of officers is elected annually that include a: president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, spiritual life leader, publicity chairman, and an immediate past-president. These officers also make up the executive committee. The motto of United Methodist Men is “Be doers of the word, not hearers only”.
DOWNTOWN CAMPUS MEETINGS
Our monthly meeting is held on the second Saturday, at 7:30am, in the Fellowship Hall of our Downtown Campus. Our volunteers prepare a full breakfast that some say may be the best in Texas. We stress Christian fellowship and love. All men from ages 12 to 112+ are welcome.
