First Methodist Houston's Youth Ministry has a special place for you to stay informed and involved. We strive to develop a community of students that care about each other, the world that they live in, and seek to follow Jesus in every aspect of their lives. First Methodist Houston's Youth Ministry develops "Leaders 4 Life" by helping students learn leadership skills, using the gifts that God has given them. First Methodist Houston's Youth Ministry is a place where students are accepted, challenged, and loved.
MISSION STATEMENT AND GOAL
Mission Statement
To guide youth into a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. To teach and lead them to Christian maturity through discipleship and missions, equipping them to make an impact on the world for Christ.
Goal
To have our students graduate high school with a solid Christian foundation and discipline, strong leadership skills and training so they are equipped to lead others to Christ and begin personal ministries on their college campuses, in the workplace, or in military careers.
YOUTH SUMMER MISSIONS
Summer is just around the corner and that means exciting summer mission trips to other states and countries!
This year we are taking trips to:
Nicaragua - June 6th - June 13th, and
Acuna, Mexico - July 7 - July 11th
New Orleans - July 27th - August 1st

Sunday School
Are you clear, or do you have questions…about life? God? Dating? Faith? School? The Bible? Join us Sunday mornings and explore answers to your questions, so that life will become more clear.
Downtown Campus - 10 - 10:50 a.m. - 6th Floor Loft
Sunday Night Live (SNL)
Live from the Loft, it's Sunday Night Live! SNL is our premier event for all 6th-12th graders every week. SNL is driven by students with a focus on creativity and relevance with a mix of music, competitions, skits, videos, and a relevant messages. Good times are guaranteed as we eat, laugh, and study God's word together. Bring all your friends!
Downtown Campus - Jr. High/Sr. High - 6th Floor Loft
12:30-1:30 p.m. - Lunch
1:30-2:30 p.m. - Youth Chorale
2:30-4 p.m. - Sunday Programming
Retreats, Camps and Big Events
Fall Retreat, Break Thru, Confirmation Retreat, Student Life Camp, Princess Party, M.O.G. Party, Jr. High & Sr. High Nights Out are all exciting events in which to be involved.
SPECIAL NOTE: For all youth activities, the completion of a Medical Release Form is required. Every student must have a current Medical Release Form on file to attend a First Methodist youth activity, you may download this form by clicking on the link below.
