YOUTH SPORTS & ACTIVITIES

 

Quillian Center believes that youth activities should be fun and instructional while helping kids develop a positive self-image. Youth sports activities at Quillian Center promote good sportsmanship and respect for others. Through youth sports, kids learn the value of participating as a team while improving upon their individual health and fitness level. Quillian Recreation Ministries encourages parents to become involved with their child’s youth sports experience as a volunteer coach, team parent or official.

QUILLIAN YOUTH BASKETBALL

 
 

Dribble, pass, shoot, defense, defense, defense … those are the keys to victory. While focusing on the fundamentals and teaching the competitive spirit Quillian has created a program that benefits and grows the talents of children of all ages and skill level. Our coaches are well trained and determined to see players grow both on and off the court. This program is built for children ages 5-14, both males and females of all skill levels. Registration for the next season of basketball will begin on October 11th, player evaluations will be on November 20th, and practices will begin November 29th.
 
Cost: 
7 & Under - $70 online, $75 in house
 All others -  $95 online, $100 in house (Includes jerseys and end of season awards) 
(After November 19 pricing is $95 for 7 & under and $115 for all others)

FIFA

Faith In Full Action (F.I.F.A.) is Quillian’s new and exciting full action Bible study that is geared for children in grades 2nd – 8th. FIFA is the place in which God’s word meets with the athletic lessons of sports, and the true definition of being a Christian athlete is put into practice. FIFA strives to present the word of God in new ways that are relevant to those with a passion for sports. Unique and engaging lessons drive the FIFA program, and lesson related games with food and fellowship round out the night. FIFA meets on Wednesday nights in the Quillian gym from 6:30pm until 8:00pm. FIFA is a FREE program for all those that wish to come and the next 8 week session will begin on September 15th. We promise you don’t want to be the only one that doesn’t know what the FIFA program has to offer.

6:45 - 7:15pm - Play Ball - Game time
7:15 - 7:45pm - Game Plan - Lesson Time
7:45 - 8:00pm - Post Game - Food/Fellowship

FUN, FAIR, POSITIVE SOCCER

 

Quillian Center is proud to participate in Fun, Fair, Positive Soccer.  This program develops youth soccer leagues with special rules and extensive training given to ensure a maximum of Fun, Fairness, Self-esteem building, Success and a Positive experience in which Positive behavior and Positive values can be realized for every player and the parent are Positive Fans "For the Kids."  All players rotate to each position and every player plays EQUALLY each game. We use a specially designed "Equal Substitution System" to guarantee this. Also, FFPS has no tryouts or all-star teams, and all teams are balanced. YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL


Last year Quillian kicked off the new PowerKids flag football program for children ages 8-12. The league teaches the fundamentals and skills of football minus all the contact. Teams will practice and play once a week.

Registration will begin on August 20th. The cost is $100 which includes your jersey and end of season awards. Player evaluations will be held on September 11th and the season starts on Saturday October 2nd.
