Our last Pre-marital Workshop - Building a Solid Foundation - for 2012 will be held on Saturday, September 22, from 8:30am to 5:00pm on the 6th Floor at the Downtown Campus, 1320 Main Street @ Clay 77002.
The workshops cover the many aspects of a healthy foundation for marriage. The curriculum that is offered is called "Prepare to Last" and topics include Marriage Expectations, Communication, Conflict Resolution, Financial Management, Sex & Intimacy, Secret of Our Success and Goals and Dreams. The workshop begins at 9 a.m. and goes until 6 p.m. with an hour for lunch. Along with this new curriculum you will take an inventory as well, which will be completed and scored before you attend. It is a great tool for couples to see where they are strong and to identify areas they want to work on to strengthen their marriages.
For couples getting married at either the Downtown or Westchase Campus, the cost of the workshop is included in the cost of the wedding. Couples getting married elsewhere may take the class for a cost of $100.00 per couple. This includes all the materials, breakfast, lunch, and snack.
The deadline for registration is Friday, September 7.
