Our goal...  The goal of First Methodist Houston's Young Adult Ministry, Sixth Day Ministries, is to reach young adults for Christ and connect them to our church through faithful teaching, powerful worship, meaningful service, sustaining relationships and refreshing love.

• Couples in Christ (Young couples) - Room 402.  This classis about marriage, relationships, family, and real life--and how it relates to our faith.  All couples are invited for Bible study and discussion.  This class is headed up by Sara Welshimer, Alan and Evelyn Radwanski and Lanny and Felicia Hayes. 
   
• Contemporary Class (Young Professionals)  - Room 414.  This class is for all who are interested in connecting to other young adults for fellowship and Bible study.  This class is good for first time visitors and those looking to meet other young adults in our church.  This class is headed up by Brant Wallace and Gordon Dillahunty.
   
• 11:00am - Traditional Worship

• The Young Adult Steering Committee starts this Fall. We will be planning new ways to reach young professionals in the Houston area. If you are interested in being a part of this new team, email Mark Welshimer or call him at 832-668-1800.
   
• The Houston Marathon is held annually in January. We've had great teams in the past. Last year, with the lottery in effect, some people were able to run and others weren't. We would like to have a strong team from First Methodist Houston to run, as well as cheer for our runners. We will have team meetings to discuss training and running with various running coaches, and veteran runners.
