Celebration!, an official ministry of the United Methodist Church, Texas Conference, is a woman-to-woman ministry of sharing, encouraging, discipling and mentoring in the faith. Its focus is on presenting the truth and beauty of the message of salvation, healing, renewal and restoration in a manner that reaches the inner woman.
Celebration! was founded on Luke 4:18-19, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." Each Celebration! gathering includes powerful praise and worship, an inspiring message, refreshments, door prizes and more. Admission is free and childcare is provided.
You must experience Celebration! to fully grasp the scope of this exciting ministry. For more information, visit www.celebrationministries.org or call Blanca Velasquez 713-301-5997.

Widows meet at the Downtown Campus for lunch the second Sunday of each month and the fourth Sunday of each month at the Westchase Campus for mutual support. The ladies choose activities and enjoy filling their Sunday afternoon with wholesome fun.
Activities include potluck lunch, sending out for pizza, taking the train to a restaurant Downtown, having a game day, or visiting a museum together. The point is to have a support group to share the journey.
All widows are welcome to come and bring their friends.
The Downtown group meets on the second Sunday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. For more information call Robin Milutin at 832-668-1827 or rmilutin@fmhouston.com.
The Westchase group meets on the fourth Sunday to go to lunch after Sunday School and then meet at the church for additional fellowship and support. Those who go to the second service usually join the group from 1 - 3 p.m. in the Wesley Academy Library.
